The Formation Gap
Potential is not the same as internal structure.
Schools, families, teams and communities often meet a young man after a problem has already become visible. They correct the action, apply a consequence and hope the lesson holds. But behavior can change for a moment while the beliefs, pressures, coping patterns and gaps in judgment beneath it remain untouched.
HIM Agency works in that gap. We do not reduce accountability by understanding context; we make accountability usable. Young men learn to name what is shaping them, examine the meaning they have made from their experiences, practice emotional regulation, evaluate influence and build a standard they can carry into classrooms, relationships, competition, work and adulthood.

Marvin G. Williams brings the perspective of a father, author, nonprofit executive, recovery leader, life coach and former high-school basketball coach, along with the lived credibility of a man who had to rebuild his own life from the inside out. HIM Agency does not use invented success percentages or promise instant transformation. Depending on the engagement, progress is documented through attendance and completion, pre/post reflection, facilitator observation, goal follow-through, participant work, staff or caregiver feedback and an end-of-engagement debrief.
Accountability with context
Understanding what shaped a choice does not erase responsibility. It gives the young man language and tools to make a different next choice.
